While this job is not one that many people may have chosen, Tearicka was up every day no matter what weather conditions varied or any challenges she was faced with for the day. While being a part of Restoration Academy she took on which would be her first job working for the City of Columbus with Parks and Recreations. Tearicka’s biggest accomplishment was working her way up through Mayor Coleman’s Restoration academy. While working for the City of Columbus Tearicka had the opportunity of working in various departments such as the Fire Department, the Police Station & many more.
Which is exactly what she did when she began working with the City of Columbus. Tearicka Cradle worked at Banc One, Columbia Gas, Safelite & Zulily all of which were steppingstones for her to reach the apex of her career, putting her in the position she loved and was able to truly make a difference in. Through the various positions Tearicka held, she was able to achieve her passion of being a leader, teacher, and mentor to many. Tearicka wore many hats she was a Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend. After this long journey she went onto become a Strong community leader. Tearicka had aspirations of becoming an entrepreneur not only to help herself, but to also be a help to many others. She then continued to earn both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in business while still pursuing her Doctorate. Tearicka Cradle graduated from Linden Mckinley High School. At the age of 45, Tearicka unexpectedly departed this natural life on July 18, 2021. A celebration of Bubba's life will take place this coming June.Tearicka ‘Tika” Layon Cradle was a Columbus native, born on December 20, 1975. He is survived by his partner Sharon, his sons David Michael Reis and Robert James Reis, and his daughter Tabatha Lynn Frievald, and grandchildren, Sada Reis, Shea Reis, Aria Reis, Josh Frievald, Isaac Frievald and great-grandchildren Willow, Choe, Wyatt and Colby Frievald. He touched many people's hearts with his kind and generous nature, and will be fondly remembered and fiercely missed. In the last 25 years of his life he made some of the best friends he had ever known and was most grateful for these true friendships. He created beautiful stringed instruments in his barn workshop, and he invited others to pursue their projects and build guitars there, offering guidance when asked. Naturally inquisitive, he mastered things that interested him and graciously shared what he learned.
At heart Bubba was both a student and teacher, never pushing but happy to share. He met the love of his life, Sharon Heller, while whitewater kayaking and they shared 25 wonderful years together. He retired from service with honors and began a career as a self-taught computer programmer. He flew Chinook Helicopters performing rescues on the Ruth Glacier on Denali in Alaska. He learned to fly both helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. In the Army, he got his nickname, Bubba, from his fellow soldiers. He served his country for 22 years in the US Army, proudly serving around the world, and earning commendations for valiant and selfless action. Newfield - David L Reis, a.k.a Bubba, passed away peacefully on Januat home.
